Simply find a press cup that fits snugly and a receiver cup that is close to the outer diameter of the ball joint you’re removing and press them together with the joint between. The result will be an easy, quick and most importantly safe extraction of the offending ball joint. Installing the new joint is effectively the opposite, taking care to keep the press square and centred during the process. When you’re done, pop all the bits back into the custom moulded plastic case until the next suspension project.
